A Tribute To Lydia Shum [Sum Din Ha]
February 26, 2008I know Sum Din Ha, or more popularly known as Lydia Shum, passed away in Hong Kong a week ago at the age of 60 due to complications from liver cancer. Phew… I was so busy I did not have the chance to touch my gossip blog BUT it is not too late to write a tribute post in memory of her.
I believe that Lydia has touched the hearts of many people who watch TVB dramas, Hong Kong movies, game shows and other main events. Who can forget her infectious laughter and big ways? Many people love her as she is and most of her movies were very funny. Gawd, even now, I can still hear her shrill voice ring in my ear!
It is hard to believe that Lydia was already 60 years old. Lydia never looked a day older than forty. I used to think it is because of her fatness that helps smoothens whatever wrinkle that may appear due to age. I guess it is true when people say laughter is the best medicine.
Here is a video on YouTube made by a member in loving memory of “Fei Che” or “Fat Sister”. She has definitely touched so many people’s lives in a positive way, unlike Edison Chen who polluted our minds!
It’s hoped that Lydia’s daughter, Joyce, and all of Lydia’s loved ones would continue to stay strong! Feel embraced!
